When a family reaches out to the Fund, a Case Manager takes on their case: a specialist who learns the child’s story, and guides the family through their first months. From that first call through to adulthood, the Family Case Management Program makes sure someone is always there.
The first thing a Case Manager does is understand what this particular family needs. If urgent help is required, they arrange emergency support.
Throughout this process, the family is never left alone. A Family Support Specialist stays in touch, finds specialists, selects relevant programmes, helps with applications, listens and offers support. If the situation turns critical, a Case Manager takes the case back.
