With support from Antoshka, Children of Heroes Charity Fund provided a further UAH 188,981.14 in targeted financial assistance to families under the Fund’s care. This round of support enabled the Fund to respond to specific family needs, including children’s treatment, medical care and rehabilitation.
One of the families to receive assistance is a large family whose father went missing in July 2025 during fighting in the Zaporizhzhia region. Since then, the mother has taken on the day-to-day care of the children.
The youngest son, Mykhailo, has type 1 diabetes. Managing his condition requires regular monitoring of his blood glucose levels. Special glucose monitoring sensors are an important part of this and need to be purchased regularly, creating an additional financial burden for the family.
With support from Antoshka, the family received funding to purchase the sensors Mykhailo needs. They enable continuous monitoring and help the family respond promptly to changes in his glucose levels.
Another child under the Fund’s care who received assistance is 12-year-old Artem. He has several orthopaedic conditions, including scoliosis, chest and foot deformities, as well as joint hypermobility syndrome.
Artem regularly undergoes treatment and rehabilitation. One course costs UAH 13,000. He has already completed four courses, while the total cost of his treatment, X-ray examinations and necessary medication has reached UAH 57,360.
For a long time, Artem’s father was considered missing, but he was later officially confirmed to have been killed. The ongoing cost of the child’s treatment and rehabilitation represents a significant financial burden for the family.
Support from Antoshka helped the family cover part of the costs of Artem’s treatment and rehabilitation.
Financial assistance for families under the care of Children of Heroes Charity Fund is tailored to each family’s individual needs. For Mykhailo, this means access to the equipment needed for continuous diabetes monitoring; for Artem, it means being able to continue the treatment and rehabilitation he needs.
Overall, as part of this round of support from Antoshka, UAH 188,981.14 was provided to families under the Fund’s care. Mykhailo and Artem’s stories are two examples of how this support helps meet children’s specific needs.
We thank Antoshka for its continued partnership and consistent support for families under the care of Children of Heroes Charity Fund.
