    About our entities

With support from Antoshka, Children of Heroes Charity Fund provided a further UAH 187,228.22 in targeted financial assistance to families under the Fund’s care. The funding was directed towards specific family needs, including children’s treatment and medical examinations, as well as essential household needs.

One of the families to receive this support lives in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. Marko is 10 years old. His father was killed in 2017 while carrying out a combat mission in the ATO zone in the Donetsk region. Marko lives with his mother and grandparents in an old private house heated with firewood.

Marko’s grandfather used to collect and chop the firewood the family needed. However, his health deteriorated significantly, and after losing his sight, he was no longer able to do physical work. When the firewood they had previously purchased ran out and the family could not afford more, Marko’s mother and his 70-year-old grandmother had to collect and chop wood themselves. The house has no other source of heating.

With support from Antoshka, the family received UAH 13,000 to purchase firewood to heat their home.

Other families under the Fund’s care also received assistance. Svitlana is raising her 16-year-old son, Dmytro. Her husband, Ihor, went missing in October 2024. Dmytro recently completed Year 8 and is interested in motorcycles: he enjoys learning how they work, watching videos about them and hopes to own a motorbike one day. He has a weed pollen allergy that requires ongoing treatment. After the factory that produced the medication he previously used closed, the family had to switch to more expensive medicine. It costs UAH 14,000 for three months, and Dmytro needs to continue treatment for at least two years. With support from Antoshka, the Fund provided the family with UAH 14,000 towards Dmytro’s treatment.

The family of 11-year-old Artem received a further UAH 3,114. He lives with his mother, Inna, and his two-year-old brother. Artem’s father was killed in the summer of 2016 while defending Ukraine in the ATO zone. Due to the high cost of renting a home, the family moved from Kyiv Oblast to stay with relatives in Chernihiv Oblast.

Artem attends school and is passionate about football. After he developed a persistent cough, his family sought medical advice, and he was diagnosed with asthma with a predominantly allergic component, including an allergy to house dust mites. Managing his condition requires specialist consultations and further medical examinations. Support from Antoshka enabled the family to cover Artem’s medical expenses.

Financial assistance for families under the care of Children of Heroes Charity Fund is based on their specific needs. For Marko’s family, this meant heating their home; for Dmytro, continuing long-term treatment; and for Artem, accessing the medical examinations he needed.

Overall, as part of this round of support from Antoshka, UAH 187,228.22 was provided to families under the Fund’s care. The stories of Marko, Dmytro and Artem are three examples of the specific needs this funding helps families meet.

We thank Antoshka for its continued partnership and ongoing support for families under the care of Children of Heroes Charity Fund.
