With support from Antoshka, Children of Heroes Charity Fund provided UAH 92,479 in targeted financial assistance to the family of 10-year-old Ihor from Kyiv Oblast. The funding was used to purchase an insulin pump and a one-month supply of consumables.
Ihor lives with his mother. He has a severe form of type 1 diabetes, which requires constant monitoring of his blood sugar levels and regular insulin administration. Injections, fluctuations in blood sugar, fatigue and weakness have become part of his daily life.
Ihor’s father went missing in May 2025. His mother now covers the costs of her son’s treatment as well as the family’s everyday expenses. The insulin pump they needed was beyond what the family could afford, so they turned to the Fund for support.
With funding from Antoshka, the family was able to purchase an insulin pump for Ihor, along with the necessary consumables. The pump will make his daily insulin administration and diabetes management easier.
After receiving the assistance, Ihor’s mother wrote:
“I am incredibly grateful to the sponsors and will be grateful for the rest of my life. This is a true miracle for me and my child. It will mark a new stage in our life with diabetes.”
For Children of Heroes Charity Fund, Medical care means helping children access the treatment, equipment and other resources they need for their health. In Ihor’s case, the specific need was an insulin pump that the family could not afford on its own.
We thank Antoshka for its partnership and for funding specific needs of children under the Fund’s care.
