Stanislav, who is 6-years-old, and his younger brother Vladislav, who is 3, are from Kramatorsk in the eastern Donetsk region. Due to the war, their mother relocated them to live with relatives in the much safer Vinnytsia region, roughly 800 kilometers (500 miles) to the west. The boys’ father registered for military service and was taken to the front. Tragically, he was killed by the Russian invaders just one month later. Stanislav, Vladislav and their mother buried their fallen father close to home, where they decided to remain. However, following the loss, they needed care and support to survive. And to find the strength to go on with their lives.
The Children of Heroes Charity Fund has since provided them with the necessary assistance they require. Stanislav and his mother received psychological support. They also received financial aid and warm shoes for the children. Thanks to the Fund’s assistance programs, the family feels secure and has started regaining a bit of hope. The young boys dream of a quick victory and an end to the war. They wish to return to school and meet friends in a free and peaceful Ukraine.
