At just 2 years old, Alisa doesn’t understand what war is, but when she gets older, she will learn how and why her father, Oleksandr, died for the future of their country. Alisa’s father promised that after the victory, he would finish building a house for his family and send Alisa to the best nursery. Sadly, he didn’t have time to fulfil his dreams because the Russian occupiers killed him on the battlefield.
Oleksandr was an anti-aircraft missile unit commander and fought the enemy near Volodymyrivka, in the Donetsk region. During a combat mission, the man was killed by enemy artillery fire. Despite Alisa’s young age, she still cherishes pictures and videos of her and her and her Dad together, and waits for him to come home every night to give her a hug.
